This is assumedly the proper behavior for a redirect gateway, because you probably wouldn't want your browser accepting fake https certificates for a web site you might need to establish a trusted connection to. At least, I've always assumed that was the reason NoCat has NO SSL support built in. It would be nice for administration purposes, though, or where you are connecting directly to the gateway...
